With protests, ecological disasters and other possibly dangerous situations taking place in destinations all over the globe, travelers need to be kept abreast of developments, and how to best avoid or mitigate potential travel disruptions. To that end, Sitata, one of the world’s most comprehensive travel health and safety apps, offers users the peace of mind that comes from not having to worry about safety while abroad. 

Sitata is an app that uses AI technology to monitor global happenings 24/7 and keep travelers updated in real time.

“Our mission at Sitata is to keep your travels worry-free. And broadly speaking, we want to be your number one travel companion,” said Adam St. John, CEO of Sitata. Through the app, users can plan their trip, manage their itinerary, avoid travel disruptions, and connect to help when they need it most.

“The core of our service is based on real-time intelligence, so leading up to your journey and all throughout your journey, we’ll do our best to make sure you don’t run into anything unexpected,” said St. John. “We use AI and machine learning to monitor the world’s news and social sources for any type of travel disruption. We can also help prepare for your trip with pre-trip health and safety information.”

In addition to keeping you and your travelers up to date about any event that might disrupt their travels, from flight delays to disease outbreaks, transit strikes, or instances of violence, the app also gives users the ability to safely and discreetly keep track of your traveling party.

Utilizing the app’s traveler tracking dashboard, Radar, Sitata can provide a quick way to identify traveler’s locations during an emergency without invading their privacy. It will also automatically help determine who in your party is safe, who needs help, and who is unresponsive, in the event of an emergency.

“We can tell you about regular flight delays, gate changes and cancellations, but we can also tell you about runway closures, taxi strikes, transit closures, violence, bombings, typhoons, basically anything, you name it,” said St. John. “If it’s going to disrupt your trip or potentially even put your health or safety in jeopardy, we notify you on the ground, either through email, SMS, or push notifications through our app.”

And one of the most innovative and potentially life-saving features the app offers is the ability to connect travelers with doctors who specialize in travel medicine. A medical professional can hop online for a quick video call to offer a consultation, or, depending on the location and availability, they can have a doctor examine them on-site, all from the comfort of their hotel room.

In addition to personal use, the app is also utilized by businesses to help traveling employees.

“We’re in use by corporations that want to protect their staff, and keep them safe and healthy while they’re abroad,” said St. John. Sitata can automatically let you know when each of your travelers have arrived at their next destination or accommodation, and inform you when someone is unresponsive.
