Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH) has restructured the leadership team at its two upscale brands, naming Jason Montague as Chief Luxury Officer. He will oversee both Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas, effective Feb. 17, 2025.

While Oceania president Frank A. Del Rio will keep his title and report to Montague, RSSC president Andrea DeMarco will step down.

According to NCLH, the appointment the company’s focus on its growth strategy, which includes adding five newbuilds to its upscale brands’ fleets, as well as plans to refurbish nearly all their existing vessels.

“With over 20 years of expertise in luxury hospitality and a strong track record of driving excellence, Jason brings exceptional strategic expertise to our company and to our executive team,” said Harry Sommer, president and CEO at Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings. “Having already led Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises in the past, Jason is uniquely positioned to shape their future.”

Over the next five years, Montague will oversee the arrival of three newbuilds for Oceania – starting with Allura later this year – and two newbuilds for Regent Seven Seas. Additionally, he will oversee the refurbishment of Oceania’s Marina (2026) and Riviera (2027) and RSSC’s Seven Seas Mariner (2025) and Seven Seas Voyager (2026).

Before this appointment, Montague served as a Special Advisor to NCLH for two years after leading the Regent Seven Seas Cruises brand as president and CEO until 2022. Before that, he served as president and COO for both the Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises brands.

To provide transition support, DeMarco will remain in her role as president of RSSC through March 4, 2025.
