Sabre Red Launchpad, the new user-friendly interface for the GDS, is now available to all agencies worldwide.
Sabre Red has long been pitched as a solution to the growing lack of GDS expertise in the travel agency industry. As those skills have declined, Sabre sought to make it easier for users to access its content without requiring high-level GDS expertise, and Red is its answer.
According to Sabre, the new Red Launchpad will give users access to all of its content—including traditional and NDC air, along with hotel and car rentals—in an easier-to-use, “consumer-grade shopping” experience. It allows users to earn commissions faster without needing extensive training time.
Sabre has already rolled out a custom version of Red Launchpad to Internova’s members called Internova SNAP. Over 300 agencies and 13,000 advisors are already using SNAP, and executives at Internova say it’s been a success.
“We needed a solution for advisors who were not using a GDS but wanted to enhance client service and unlock new revenue opportunities,” Peter Vlitas, Executive Vice President, Partner Relations at Internova Travel Group, said. “By collaborating closely with our extensive distribution team, Sabre developed this intuitive booking tool, empowering our agents to not only thrive in modern airline retailing but also make more money.”
Sabre also worked with 1000 Mile Travel Group to roll out Red Launchpad to its independent contractors earlier this year. Within six months of its launch, 40% of its North American advisors were onboarded, collectively earning more than $120,000 in airline commissions.
Access to Red is available via the Sabre website, which also has a demo for new users.
