Oceania’s Marina cruise ship will undergo an all-encompassing refurbishment in May 2024. Every space on the ship will be touched during the refurb, and several new spaces will be added including three new culinary venues. Among the new venues will be Aquamar Kitchen, the new wellness-focused dining eatery that debuted on Vista earlier this year.

“Marina is a ship designed by foodies, built by foodies, for foodies,” said Frank A. Del Rio, president of Oceania Cruises. “We are renowned for serving the ‘finest cuisine at sea,’ and this is not just a tagline, it is mantra which we have built the business around.”

New dining options
Leading the new culinary venues will be Aquamar Kitchen, which presents wellness-inspired menus at breakfast and lunch. At breakfast, cruisers can choose from smoothies, cold-pressed juices, and energy bowls, while lunch features a variety of avocado toast selections, salads, and wraps. Heartier options include an Impossible burger, yellowfin tuna tacos, and chicken salad sandwiches, among others.

The beverage menu at Aquamar Kitchen features a selection of non-alcoholic wines, as well as non-alcoholic spirits.

In the evening, the ship’s Waves Grill will transform into an al fresco trattoria featuring freshly made pizzas, grilled Italian specialties, spicy chicken wings, salads, and more.

For cruisers with a sweet tooth, an all-day ice cream parlor will be added to the pool deck. It will feature flavors from Humphry Slocombe, plus milkshakes and smoothies.

With the addition of Aquamar Kitchen, Oceania’s signature pairing dinners featured in La Reserve will now be showcased in Privée, Marina’s exclusive private dining space.

Overall improvements
In addition to the new dining options, Marina’s private and public spaces will be refreshed, including Polo Grill, which will get new carpeting, window treatments, and a fresh design of the dining chairs. The Grand Dining Room, Martinis, Horizons, and the Library will also be updated with new carpets and refreshed upholstery.

All upper suites will be reimagined with a revamped look, with the Penthouse Suites completely refurbished with custom-crafted furniture, as well as new closets and cabinetry to increase guest storage space, plus new carpets and upholstery, updated lighting, and more outlets and USB ports. Penthouse Suites will also get restyled bathrooms with abundant drawer space, oversized showers, and more.

The refreshed Marina will debut on May 18, 2024.
