Norwegian Cruise Line has hired Valérie Lavigne as business development manager for Quebec and Atlantic Canada, Pax reports.

Lavigne joins from Celebrity Cruises, where she worked in inside sales and marketing since 2022.

“We are incredibly fortunate to have Valérie join the Norwegian Cruise Line team!” said Katie Kania, national director of sales and marketing for Canada at Norwegian Cruise Line. “Valérie is very well known and respected already, having worked closely with the trade community as an inside sales representative at Celebrity. We are delighted to welcome Valérie to NCL and reaffirm our commitment to Partners First as we prepare for the upcoming launch of Norwegian Aqua in 2025.”

Lavigne will be in training for the next few weeks. She looks forward to working with advisors in the near future.

“I am very excited to join the NCL family and I am very thankful to Katie for giving me this opportunity to grow from an inside sales representative role to a business development manager role,” said Lavigne. “I am looking forward to reconnecting with our valued travel partners to share the NCL product! I have been very passionate about the cruise line industry since I was a teenager and I am happy to be progressing in my career in an industry that I love.”
