Orlando’s first villa hotel, Villatel Orlando Resort, has set a grand opening date of March 3.

The resort had opened some accommodations at the end of 2023, but this year’s grand opening will mark the debut of all 270 villas and 256 Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy, as well as a full host of amenities.

“Villatel Orlando Resort was designed to fill a gap in Orlando’s hospitality market by bringing people together in an elevated, ultra-playful setting that offers all the best comforts of home,” said Stephen Lobell, CEO of Villatel. “A vacation experience unto itself that’s built for non-stop fun, we’ve created a dreamworld where travelers, ranging from multigenerational groups and theme park goers to sports teams and cheer or dance groups, can bond and make memories of a lifetime.”

Located on International Drive, the 80-acre property is just a few minutes down the road from Universal Orlando and other popular attractions in the city. The resort promises spacious villas with themed rooms that can accommodate guests in large numbers, such as family reunions and other event groups.

Each villa at Villatel Orlando boasts elevated amenities such as private spa pools, movie theaters, full chef’s kitchens, and game rooms. Some have up to two themed kids’ bedrooms that feature castle beds and bunk beds with slides. Guests can stay in four- to nine-bedroom villas that sleep up to 26 people.

Villatel Orlando will feature a water park, sports courts and fitness center, restaurants, and a grand resort pool. The Aqua Bay water park has slides, a lazy river, and splash playground. Poolside food and beverage is available, and basketball and pickleball courts, as well as a Top Golf Swing Suite, round out the amenities.
