Baha Mar’s brand-new jazz club, in partnership with Grammy- and Oscar-winning artist Jon Batiste, just debuted at the luxury Bahamas resort.

This past weekend, Jon Batiste’s Jazz Club at Baha Mar held its grand opening which featured performances by Batiste and famous singer-songwriter JoJo, who joined Batiste onstage to celebrate his very-first jazz club.

“Music has always been my way of bridging worlds, and I’m beyond excited to debut my first jazz club here at Baha Mar,” Batiste said. “I love that this space will pay tribute to the Caribbean’s storied musical heritage while inviting a whole new generation to discover jazz. It’s a dream realized, and I can’t wait to share it with the world.”

Jon Batiste’s Jazz Club at Baha Mar is a 12,900-square-foot, 278-seat space that will host curated entertainment, events, and experiences. The lineup of performers will include a mix of Batiste’s favorite, local Bahamian artists and international acts.

“As with every element at Baha Mar, we are pushing the boundaries of luxury and creativity, and Jon Batiste’s Jazz Club is the culmination of our vision to set a new benchmark in entertainment,” said Graeme Davis, president of Baha Mar. “Our partnership with Jon Batiste, an artist whose vision knows no bounds, was essential to crafting a club that radiates soul. Together, we’ve created a venue poised to become an iconic highlight for our guests and a cultural beacon for The Bahamas.”

The jazz club pays homage to Bahamas nightlife and to the culture of New Orleans, where jazz first flourished and where Batiste is from. Each of the club’s VIP rooms are named after historic music venues – The Cat and Fiddle, The Silver Slipper, The Banana Boat, and The Buena Vista Club – and include paraphernalia, images, and newspaper clippings that honor them.

Jon Batiste’s Jazz Club at Baha Mar will also offer a dining menu that blends Caribbean and New Orleans flavors. Some items include caviar flights, wagyu beef, bluefin toro, big-eye tuna tacos, brown butter lobster rolls, rice paper tofu wraps with truffle maitake, beignet flights, and cherry pie rounds.
