Travelers spent approximately 22% more in trips in 2023 than they did in 2022, according to insurance policies issued by WorldTrips for travel around the world last year. The largest increase was in Africa, which saw travelers paying more than $4,000 more per trip in 2023.

Travelers to the Caribbean saw the smallest increase over travel in 2022.

In a bit of good news for travelers, when looking at 2024 trips that have so far been insured by InsureMyTrip, pricing is trending downwards for some of the most popular destinations (as compared to WorldTrips’ 2023 data).
