The Ritz-Carlton, a luxury Marriott brand, will make its highly anticipated return to Cancun with a luxury oceanfront resort in the coveted vacation destination.

The Ritz-Carlton, Cancun, Punta Nizuc, set to open sometime in 2027, will have 131 guest rooms and 126 branded residences, all with ocean views, a private shoreline, and upscale amenities.

“Marriott is thrilled to bring The Ritz-Carlton brand back to Cancun, as we continue aiming to meet the growing demand for luxury travel experiences and world-class branded residences,” said Brian King, president of Caribbean & Latin America for Marriott International. “While this property is conveniently located 10 minutes from the airport, it feels a world away. Punta Nizuc offers an unmatched gateway to the beauty of the Riviera Maya.”

Mexican developers FibraHotel and Fibra Danhos, residence builder Beyond Ventures, and architect firms Lissoni & Partners and Cherem Arquitectos will team up to bring the resort to life.

The hotel and residences will include an oceanfront pool complex, spa, six gourmet restaurants, and exclusive residential amenities.
