Mythbusters’ Adam Savage to Host Themed Cruise with Princess

by Dori Saltzman / August 01, 2023
Mythbusters’ Adam Savage to Host Themed Cruise with Princess

Adam Savage, one of Discovery Channel’s original co-hosts of its super popular “Mythbusters” TV show,  will host a special sailing of Discovery Princess this November. The TV personality – and godfather of Discovery Princess – will host several activities throughout the four-day cruise.

Among the themed activities will be a Q&A in the Princess Theater, Meet & Greets with photo opportunities, a hosted trivia session, and a guided tour (extra fee) with Savage through the laundry, galley, and more.

Specialty dinners hosted by Savage will also be available for purchase.

Additionally, there will be at least one Camp Discovery activity created especially for the cruise for younger cruisers.

“When I was asked what part of the ship I wanted to see during the christening of Discovery Princess in 2022, I chose the engine room and spent five hours learning about how the many complex systems onboard are able to efficiently – and almost invisibly – service thousands of customers’ needs,” Savage said. “Fresh off an Alaska cruise on Discovery Princess myself, I can’t wait to meet fellow passengers and share all the exciting below-deck technology I’ve learned about in science and engineering in general and cruise ships in particular. Also, I absolutely love trivia – it’s going to be a fun time.”

The Adam Savage sailing will take place from November 25 to 29, sailing roundtrip from the Port of Los Angeles to San Diego and Ensenada.
