MSC Cruises Reveals New Bar and Lounge Concepts for MSC World America

When MSC World America debuts next spring, it will feature 18 bars and lounges on board, several of them new to MSC, as well as a new comedy club and a reimagined Sweet Temptations.

The new flagship for MSC Cruises will also be the first for the line to feature seven unique districts.

“MSC World America offered us a great opportunity to look at the amazing slate of bars and lounges we developed for her sister ship – MSC World Europa – and update them to make sure we’re delivering everything our guests want in the American market,” said Neil Palomba, executive vice president of operations for MSC Cruises USA.

For some of the venues, that translated to overhauled menus with different cocktails, more bourbons, gin from American distilleries, and “American-style” beers.

“Other venues are entirely new, like The Loft, which brings a comedy club to the fleet for the first time and the All-Star Sports Bar, which we believe is easily the best place to watch your favorite team at sea,” he added.

Here’s what’s new:

All-Star Sports Bar: Located in MSC World America’s Promenade district, offering drinks and traditional sports bar snacks like wings and sliders. The bar will also be home to sports bar games like interactive darts, digital shuffleboard, and foosball.

The Loft: This multi-purpose venue, located in the Terraces district, will offer guests the chance to laugh, sing, and dance that will feature comedy shows, dueling pianos, and classic karaoke nights.

Here’s what’s coming back:

Elixir – Mixology Bar: Cocktail lovers will enjoy this bar featuring handcrafted beverages with Fever Tree mixers and fresh ingredients. The menu in this iteration of the bar, first introduced on MSC World Europa, will focus on bourbon and bourbon-based cocktails.

Masters of the Seas: The line’s signature British-style pub will be at the heart of World America’s Terraces district offering a lively atmosphere and live music and drinks. The pub will feature MSC’s second full-scale microbrewery at sea, offering a newly-developed range of beers including an American-style lite beer, IPA, and Pilsner – all made from desalinated sea water and featuring American hops.

The Gin Project: A haven for gin fanatics, this bar will feature 20 craft gins – sourced with a focus on American and Canadian craft gin distilleries, complemented by a curated selection of international favorites, plus a menu of classical botanical cocktails.

Coffee Emporium: A modern coffee house offering some of the world’s best coffee beans and a selection of brewing and serving styles including French, Italian, Turkish, and Moroccan.

Sweet treats

Sweet Temptations: After debuting to rave reviews aboard MSC World Europa, Sweet Temptations comes to World America with a fresh new look and even larger selection of confectionary delights. Located in the heart of the Promenade district, the venue will serve hand-crafted “crazy” shakes, Venchi chocolates and gelato, self-serve frozen yogurt, make-your-own ice cream bars, hot crepes and waffles, donuts, and a variety of candies.

Jean Philippe Chocolat & Café: This chocolate lover’s paradise is a staple onboard many of MSC’s ships. Guests can purchase a variety of candies or make their own chocolate bars.
