Holland America Sets New Black Friday Bookings Record

Holland America Sets New Black Friday Bookings Record

For the second year in a row, Holland America broke its record for booking volume on Black Friday. This year, the cruise line saw 20% higher volume than last year’s record high. Booking volume for the period from Black Friday to Cyber Monday was also 23% higher than last year.

Much of the booking volume was driven by cruisers planning summer vacations in 2024, with bookings for Alaska, Europe, and Canada/New England all surpassing volumes from last year’s Black Friday sales.

“While some see Black Friday as a sign that winter is coming, our guests were dreaming about exploring summer destinations like Alaska, Iceland, and Greece,” said Gus Antorcha, president of Holland America Line.

The record-breaking weekend comes less than a month after the cruise line announced a partnership with Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto, who will be opening his first at-sea restaurant onboard Nieuw Amsterdam in December.
