Cruise Line Military Discounts

Many cruise lines show their appreciation for members of the military through some form of booking discount, special rate, or onboard credit. If you’ve got clients who are actively serving in the military, retired from, or veterans of military service, knowing about these offers can help you serve them better.
Here are all the year-round Military discounts each of the cruise lines provide.

AmaWaterways
What: AmaWaterways provides a $100 discount on all sailings.
Who: The $100 discount is available to both active and retired service members with valid military ID.
How: Travel advisors can claim the discount on behalf of their clients by using the code MIL100 at the time of booking.
Atlas Ocean Voyages
What: Atlas offers savings of up to 20% on select sailings.
Who: All former, active, reserve, and retired U.S. and UK Ministry of Defence Veterans, and surviving qualifying military spouses are eligible. For U.S. veterans, a copy of a valid Military ID and Common Access Card/CAC (for surviving spouses) must be provided prior to final payment.
How: Travel advisors can request the discount on behalf of their clients.

Carnival Cruise Line
What: Carnival offers special rates to military personnel on almost every sailing.
Who: Reduced rates are available to active and retired members of the Canadian National Defense and the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, National Guard or Reserves.
How: Travel advisors can book these rates on behalf of their clients. Eligibility documents must be submitted to Carnival for confirmed reservations within 72 hours for cruises outside one week prior to sailing and 24 hours for cruises within one week prior to sailing. Documents can be emailed to interline@carnival.com.

Celebrity Cruises
What: Celebrity offers military discounts on sailings of four nights or longer, departing through April 30, 2026, and not including the Galapagos. Discounts are $25 off of inside and ocean view fares and $100 off veranda, Concierge Class, AquaClass, and Retreat Class fares.
Who: At least one guest in the stateroom must be an active, retired or veteran member of the United States or Canada Military.
A valid U.S. or Canadian military ID must be presented at the pier to validate eligibility.
How: Travel advisors can apply these discounts on behalf of their clients.

Cunard
What: Cunard offers a year-round onboard credit program to all military personnel sailing onboard its ships. The amounts are as follows: $50 for six days or less, $100 for cruises of seven to 13 days, and $250 for cruises of 14 days or longer.
Who: The program is open to active military, retired military, and disabled military veterans with proper identification in the following service divisions: U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, National Guard or Reserves; Canadian National Defense; United Kingdom Military Personnel; Royal Australian Navy, Army, Air Force; and Royal New Zealand Navy, Army or Air Force.
How: To request this benefit on behalf of your client, please download and complete the application and submit it together with a copy of the required proof of eligibility no later than 14 days prior to the cruise departure date.
Disney Cruise Line
What: Disney offers special military rates on select sailings. Prices can be as low as $200 per person for the first two people in one stateroom.
Who: Military rates are available to all retired and active U.S. Military personnel or spouses, including U.S. Air Force, Army, Marines, Navy, Coast Guard, National Guard, Army Reserve and Department of Defense. A U.S. military service member (or spouse) is required to sail to take advantage of the offer.
Valid identification must be provided at the time of check-in. Activated members (or spouses) of the U.S. National Guard or the U.S. Army Reserve must also show active duty orders. (Active duty papers must be dated as of January 1st of the previous year to qualify.)
How: Travel advisors can book these fares on behalf of their clients.

Emerald Cruises
What: Emerald Cruises offers active and retired military a standing 5% savings on all river cruises.
Who: The promotion is available to all active and retired members of the U.S. military and their families.
How: Travel advisors can book these bonus savings on behalf of their clients.

Holland America
What: Active, veteran, and retired members of the U.S. Armed Forces can recieve an onboard credit of $100 per stateroom on more than 500 itineraries.
Who: The promotion is available to all active, retired, and veteran U.S. military service members.
How: Travel advisors may make the request for onboard credit on behalf of their clients but service members must verify their service status with SheerID.
Margaritaville at Sea
What: Margaritaville at Sea’s “Heroes Sail Free: program offers up a limited number of first-come, first-served double-occupancy free-fare cabins (taxes and fees applicable) on all sailings across its two-ship fleet. Qualifying guests may take advantage of the program as often as they like. If there are no free cabins available, “Heroes” receive a 20% discount if they choose to book a regular cabin.
Who: The program is for U.S. military service members (active duty and veterans), police, firefighters, EMS personnel, nurses, and educators.
How: Heroes Sail Free cabins can only be booked online, and only after verification via either GovX or ShopVCS.

MSC Cruises
What: MSC offers active and retired members of the U.S. and Canadian military a 5% discount on select interior and oceanview staterooms and a 10% discount on select balcony, suite, and MSC Yacht Club (deluxe suite) staterooms. The discount may be applied to multiple staterooms, but the qualifying person must be sailing in order for the discount to be applied.
Additionally, there are zero penalties for redeployment (must be verified by a commanding officer). A 100% future cruise credit will be issued, good for two years, if canceled no later than 15 days prior to the cruise departure.
Who: The program is open to active and retired members of the Canadian National Defense and U.S. Army, Air Force, Marine Corps, Navy, Coast Guard, National Guard, Army Reserve, and Department of Defense personnel. The discount is also available to spouses, parents, in-laws, and dependent children of active or retired military personnel.
How: Travel advisors may book these rates on behalf of their clients. The qualifying guest must present an I.D. badge from their respective organization at the time of booking.

Norwegian Cruise Line
What: Norwegian Cruise Line offers a discount of up 10% off on all sailings to members of the U.S. and Canadian military and their families. The discount will apply to the verified military member’s entire stateroom. Military members also receive a special welcome packet including an NCL challenge coin and ship-specific patch when they sail.
If the booking needs be cancelled due to redeployment, guest or their travel advisor should contact Guest Experience and submit a request with the active duty military deployment orders attached. Upon receipt, orders will be reviewed, and if compliant, a Future Cruise Credit Certificate will be issued.
Who: Discounts are available to active, veteran, and retired members of the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Marines, and National Guard Reserves, as well as to their spouses, even if traveling without the verified military member. The program also applies to active Canadian service members, veterans and their dependents from the Canadian Army, Royal Canadian Navy, Royal Canadian Air Force, and Canadian Coast Guard.
How: Travel advisors can book these rates on behalf of their clients. Service men and women must be validated through ID.me, a digital identity network that allows active and retired U.S. and Canadian military members to verify their identity once, and never have to re-verify their identity again across any organization where ID.me is accepted.

Princess Cruises
What: Princess offers a year-round onboard credit program to all military personnel sailing onboard its ships. The amounts are as follows: $50 for six days or less, $100 for cruises of seven to 13 days, and $250 for cruises of 14 days or longer.
Who: The program is open to active military, retired military, and disabled military veterans in the following service divisions: U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, National Guard or Reserves; Canadian National Defense; and the British Army, Royal Marines, Royal Navy, Royal Air Force or Reserves.
How: To request this benefit for an American client, please complete the online application.
To request this benefit for a Canadian client, download and complete the Military Benefit Application Form, then submit together with a copy of the required proof of eligibility indicated below. Please ensure that documentation provided has the Social Security Number crossed out.
Applications to receive this benefit must be made no later than 14 days prior to the cruise departure date.

Royal Caribbean International
What: Royal Caribbean offers special rates on select sailings to military personnel. All guests staying in the same cabin are eligible for the special rate.
Who: The program is open to active personnel in the Canadian Defense or the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, National Guard, or Reserve.
Retired members of the Canadian and U.S. military also qualify if they are/were enlisted personnel or officers with a minimum of 20 years of service, medically retired, or 100% disabled. Veterans with an Honorable Discharge serving a minimum f two years, or six months in an active war zone, in any of the U.S. services listed also qualify.
Spouses of deceased military personnel are also eligible for the military rate.
Proper identification must be presented at the time of check-in.

Star Clippers
What: Star Clippers offers active, veteran and retired military a standing 10% savings on all cruises.
Who: The promotion is available to all active, veteran and retired members of the U.S. military.
