Avanti Destinations Launches Fixed-Price Vacation Packages

Avanti Destinations has announced a line of fixed-price non-customizable packages for travel in Asia, Latin America, and South Pacific, easily accessible through new regional microsites.

Since 1981, the custom tour operator has sold travel packages exclusively through travel advisors. With the new microsites, advisors – including those not previously registered with Avanti – can share packages on these websites to their clients, making quoting vacation land packages quick and easy.

In total, there are 58 packages in 18 countries across the three microsites: Asia (https://asia.avantidestinations.com), Latin America (https://latinamerica.avantidestinations.com), and South Pacific (https://southpacific.avantidestinations.com).

The new non-customizable land packages are available for Australia, New Zealand, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Panama, Peru, Uruguay, Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, South Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam. Avanti plans to expand its offerings to include popular European destinations in 2026.

The fixed-price packages – indicated by a lock symbol – include accommodations, sightseeing tours, experiences, and transfers (including in-country air). The websites also show rate seasons, allowing budget-conscious clients the ability to view off-peak pricing.

Packages are not available on holidays and other blackout periods.

The new regional websites also list a few customizable vacations in each country, without prices.

“It’s very easy for advisors”

Paul Barry, CEO of Avanti Destinations, told TMR the new product category was developed to help newcomers – both advisors new to the industry and clients new to foreign independent travel.

“We’ve heard from even experienced travel advisors that the process of booking FIT [foreign independent travel] could use some help in terms of tools to pre-qualify FIT clients,” Barry told TMR.

“It’s very easy for advisors – even those who have never worked with Avanti before – to go into the three microsites, browse through the many fixed-price packages … and then share one or more of those with your client.”

The CEO explained that the new packages and microsites were designed to give advisors and clients an idea of prices and possibilities. “Our typical custom FIT booking process has quite a bit of back-and-forth between the client, the advisor and our recommendations and quotes … These new fixed-price, non-customizable FIT packages simplify and streamline the process.”

Barry added that the fixed-price packages offer the same vacation experience, just without the customization.

“The smooth transfers and unique experiences that Avanti has always prided itself on – wine-tasting, cooking classes, visits to markets, local families and Indigenous communities, as well as historical and cultural sightseeing tours and excursions by top-notch local guides – these are all included in the new fixed-price packages.”

“Get the ball rolling”

Barry suggested to TMR that the fixed-price packages can be a way to “[get] the ball rolling” with clients, giving them an idea of what they can get for what price level based on the time of year.

From there, advisors may be able to upsell the client on a more customizable land package – either during the initial booking process or for the next trip.

“Avanti travelers have a high repeat travel rate because we can deliver a rich, multi-destinations vacation experience that is difficult to put together on your own,” said Gina Bang, chief sales & marketing officer, Avanti.

The tour operator promises to “support the advisor every step of the way” by offering resources, training, in-country destination management companies, and expert consultations.

“Since we only sell through advisors, not directly to consumers, our main goal is to make the advisor shine,” said Bang. “We have a Virtual Sales Team, which is dedicated to educating advisors on customized vacations, our destinations, the company itself, and the various resources that we’ve created to help advisors grow their business.”

Avanti is also bringing back printed reference guides for advisors to use with clients.

“We always had print brochures, until 2019 – when we decided to go electronic. But advisors have been asking us to bring back printed collateral,” Barry told TMR. “‘Brochures’ sounds like they are for consumers, we call them Advisor Reference Guides, and the first one will be available before the end of October.”
