“We looked at key patterns across hundreds of thousands of bookings and listened to feedback from travelers from all over the world to identify the top emerging movements as people start planning their vacations for 2025” said Matt Berna, president of the Americas at Intrepid Travel.

The trends at a glance are: women-only adventures, ‘not-hot’ destinations, friendtrips (21 to 35 year old solo travel, seeking new friendships), purposeful parenting (family trips), and back on track (rail trips).

Tauck celebrates 100th with special employee trip

Tauck recently sent six of its employees to western Massachusetts for a very special trip: to relive the journey that inspired Arthur Tauck Sr. to launch the company 100 years ago.

The group visited the Wigwam Western Summit near North Adams, Massachusetts. After discovering the area in 1924, Tauck Sr. was surprised there was no leisure visitors there to enjoy the spectacular fall foliage. This sparked the idea for a guided tour operation the falling year, which over the last century has grown to more than 170 land tours, safaris, river cruises, small ship ocean cruises, and family travel adventures

“To be at the site where Arthur Tauck Sr. was inspired to start our company, and to be there on what must be close to the 100th anniversary of his visit, is truly incredible,” said Tauck’s vice president of worldwide operations, Joanne Gardner. “I can’t think of a more meaningful way to head into our centennial year.”
