Walt Disney World Is Bringing Art Exhibit by Former U.S. President to EPCOT

Walt Disney World is bringing a special exhibit of paintings by President George Bush to the American Adventure pavilion at EPCOT this summer.
The exhibit, called “Portraits of Courage: A Commander’s Tribute to America’s Warriors,” will feature more than 60 portraits of U.S. service members and veterans painted by Bush personally since leaving office in 2008. Each of those paintings will include a description of the veteran written by the former president.
The exhibit will open on June 9 and run for 12 months.
“Celebrating those who give so much to our country has been part of the fabric of The Walt Disney Company throughout our 100-year history,” said Josh D’Amaro, Chairman, Disney Experiences. “We’re grateful to the Bush Institute for allowing us to feature this special collection and share it with our guests.”
Disney is launching the exhibit in partnership with the George W. Bush Institute. Aside from the stories and paintings, the exhibit will also include information and resources to support U.S. veterans and their families. One of them is Connect to Care, an organization that provides mental and brain health care resources to veterans.
