Porter Pass Program Adds VIPorter and Avid Traveller Benefits

Porter Airlines announced today an update to its Porter Pass program that makes it easier for loyal customers to earn benefits.

Porter Pass holders will now automatically earn VIPorter points on all flights included in their pass at the time of purchase. This will make it easier to hit the qualifying spend to reach Avid Traveller status, which includes perks such as early boarding, complimentary checked bags, and priority standby (depending on level).

The Porter Pass program allows frequent passengers on specific routes or within a region a cost-effective way to travel. Guests can purchase 10, 20, 50, or 100 flight credits at once for a fixed price. Packages of 20 or more are transferable.

The pass program has no blackout dates, three fare categories to choose from, and prices that include all taxes, fees, charges, and surcharges. Rates start at $129 (CAD) per flight, and can be purchased by an individual or an organization.

For a list of cities included with each Porter Pass, visit http://www.flyporter.com/book-travel/porter-pass.

“Valuable benefits from their first flight”

Now, passengers immediately earn points for the entire pass at the time of purchase. Almost every pass option will earn enough qualifying spend to become a VIPorter Avid Traveller.

“Other pass programs provide qualifying spend after travel is complete, which usually doesn’t allow passengers to maximize the benefits they’ve already paid for until nearly their last flight,” said Edmond Eldebs, senior vice president and chief commercial officer, Porter Airlines. “With Porter Pass, frequent travellers now earn loyalty status instantly and have access to valuable benefits from their first flight.”

More information on VIPorter Avid Traveller benefits can be found on the airline’s website: https://www.flyporter.com/en-ca/about-porter/viporter.

“This industry-leading benefit is just another way we are respecting economy travellers and providing the elevated level of service they deserve,” added Eldebs.
