Hyatt Centric San José Escazú has just opened in Costa Rica.

The lifestyle-brand hotel is in the Escazú neighborhood of Costa Rica’s capital, centrally located in the city center in the Plaza Tempo Shopping & Business Center.

“We look forward to introducing guests to the vibrant, local culture and international influence available right here in the heart of San José,” said Natalia Zora, General Manager, Hyatt Centric San José Escazú. “The hotel, catering to leisure travelers, is set to meet the growing demand for accommodations in the region by providing a getaway to embrace the spirit of pura vida and put guests in the center of the action so they never miss a moment of adventure.”

The new property aims to serve as a homebase for adventures throughout Costa Rica, such as La Paz Waterfall Gardens, Poas Volcano National Park, and the destination’s famous beaches, rainforests, and mountain adventures.

Most of the hotel’s 161 guestrooms and suites have either city or mountain views. Each is outfitted with modern furniture, decor, and artwork. The lobby and common areas feature artwork by local artists, including glass pieces and sculptures, that showcase San Jose’s hills to its urban epicenter.

Guests have two dining options. Cense Restaurant is the all-day, ground floor restaurant serving both Costa Rican cuisine and international dishes. It features an outdoor terrace for private dining of up to 12 people. 19-49 Lounge Bar & Café serves coffee and light snacks during the day and cocktails and other small bites in the evening.

The hotel opening marks the eighth Hyatt Centric property in the Caribbean and Latin America. It also joins more than 60 Hyatt Centric hotels globally.
