New Opening: Arlo Wynwood, the First Hotel for Miami’s Most Colorful Neighborhood

This week, Arlo Hotels officially opened the doors on its newest Miami property, Arlo Wynwood, welcoming guests to the first hotel built in one of the city’s most colorful neighborhoods.

The boutique hotel offers 217-rooms, a new restaurant called MaryGold’s, which will open later in November, a cocktail lounge called Higher Ground, and a rooftop pool deck that offers 360-degree views of Miami. It also includes a fitness center and complimentary bikes for guests to use to explore the neighborhood.

For rooms, Arlo Wynwood will have two options—a standard king room and a standard double room.

The hotel also sought to bring Wynwood in—the neighborhood has been known as Miami’s Arts District, with full life-size murals scattered around the streets and art galleries, including one of the originals in the area Unwood Walls, an outdoor museum, everywhere you look.

To that end, Arlo Wynwood includes murals inside and out, with a Plexiglas mural on its yoga deck by Florida artist Ari Robinson and murals on its exterior walls by Miami artist Hoxxoh and the MILAGROS Collective. In total, the property will include more than 250 works of art scattered on its walls.

The hotel is the first one to open in Wynwood, which sits south of the city’s Design District, west of Biscayne Bay and Miami Beach, and just north of Downtown Miami.

The hotel is the second for the Arlo brand in Miami—it already has Nautilus by Arlo on Miami Beach. The brand also has three hotels in New York City, the first two of which debuted in the fall of 2016. The brand sports itself as a mid to large-scale lifestyle hotel brand that offers “social hubs, cozy workspaces, and safe havens” in major cities.
