Among rumors of a shakeup at its highest levels, Atlas Ocean Voyages has confirmed to Travel Market Report that president Alberto Aliberti has left the company and a new CEO and president will come on in the first week of August.

According to a media statement, “Atlas is an established brand, and the new brand strategy will focus on its valued travel partners and bolster the brand’s sales and occupancy growth of its luxury expedition vessels.”

Aliberti had been with Atlas Ocean Voyages since the inception of the brand in mid-2019. He was previously with Mystic Invest (Atlas’ parent company) and its river cruise brand DouroAzul for close to 15 years.

The name of the new CEO and president will be announced soon.

Atlas Ocean Voyages currently comprises one luxury expedition ship, World Navigator. A second ship, World Traveller, will join this September.
