Hotel Xcaret Mexico is entering a new era as it readies to unveil a $700 million transformation in summer 2025.

The resort is doubling its number of accommodations and dining venues, while adding major enhancements to its entertainment offerings specifically tailored to guests in different age groups.

“At Hotel Xcaret Mexico, we believe true luxury is best experienced with family, and our 2025 new era is designed to create unforgettable moments that transcend generations,” said Lizeth Álvarez Gorosave, chief commercial officer at Grupo Xcaret. We want every family member, from the youngest to the eldest, to find a space they can enjoy together and build lasting memories.”

Accommodations

Hotel Xcaret Mexico is leaning into the multigenerational travel trend by offering different types of room categories designed for a variety of age groups. The lodging capacity has doubled to now offer 1,800 guest rooms spread across 10 “Casas.”

There are dedicated Casas for families with children 0-9, 10-12, and 13-17, as well as adults-only Casas with their own rooftop and private restaurant. Each Casa will offer activities for that specific age range.

Dining and amenities

The hotel’s restaurant count will also double, bringing the number to 20 unique dining options ranging from Mexican cuisine to international dishes. Notably, Mexican chef Carlos Gaytán will lead a new restaurant, Ha.

There will also now be 16 pools throughout the resort, some of them family-friendly and others for adults only. This includes four rooftop pools – two for families, one for teens, and one for adults – and five new waterslides.

Hotel Xcaret is also expanding its meeting and events spaces with a total of 48,000 square feet of flexible rooms for conferences and social gatherings.

Attractions and activities

Dedicated spaces for kids, teens, and adults to enjoy entertainment offerings will include a teen club, kids hotelito, 24-hour restaurant-movie theater, and adults’ speakeasy. The renovated Muluk Spa will be located beside a new adults-only area.

Hotel Xcaret Mexico is also adding a new offering called Xcaret Xailing, which brings guests to Cancun and Isla Mujeres via modern boats. The hotel, one of three in Grupo Xcaret, offers its All-Fun Inclusive program that includes experiences at its eight parks in the region and Xcaret Expeditions.
