Delta Air Lines will relocate from the Beijing Capital International Airport to Beijing’s new Daxing International Airport beginning next year. The move comes as one of Delta’s partner airlines, China Eastern, announced its relocation to Daxing Airport in March of 2020.

“We look forward to moving to our new home in Beijing,” said Wong Hong, Delta’s president – Greater China and Singapore. “The brand-new Daxing International Airport will provide us a great opportunity to better serve the growing needs of our customers in China. As Delta operates in the new mega airport, working with China Eastern side by side, customers will enjoy the improved departure and arrival times, seamless connections, more convenient baggage delivery, and faster security check, customs and boarding/arrival procedures.”

Delta is also moving its two nonstop daily services from Beijing to Detroit and Seattle to Daxing Airport, offering customers access to over 30 cities across China through codeshare flights with China Eastern.

Additionally, China Eastern’s new international VIP lounges at Daxing Airport will be open to Delta One customers and SkyMiles Diamond, Platinum and Gold Medallion members.

“We are excited to have Delta Air Lines as one of the key tenant airlines at the Daxing Airport, which is designed for connection. We share the same goal of providing passengers with seamless and pleasant travel experience,” said Kong Yue, deputy general manager of Daxing International Airport.

“With Delta’s successful move to Daxing Airport, we’ll continue working closely together to ensure passengers arriving and departing in Daxing Airport could enjoy the best-in-class services.”
